Chinese artist and activist Ai Weiwei and Dutch soccer player Robin van Persie unleashed a social media hype. The flying header from RvP became a meme instantly (hashtag #persieing), a variation on the “planking’ hype. Photos with the hashtag #gunleg were initiated by Ai Weiwei as a criticism of Terrorism in China and are reminiscent of the movie Planet Terror (2007, Robert Rodriguez).
